Photography has been so far a very good experience and taught me a lot of new different things that I would have never known. There is so many different things you can do to a photograph. In digital photography I have my very own portfolio that contains all the different projects I did. My most favorite has to be My scary alien because we did it around Halloween and it has to be creative and it looks scary. This picture really shows you Photoshop can do anything.
This class could help me out with getting a job maybe as a photographer. I have learned that I love taking pictures and being able to know exactly how to edit them if I need to. More things that come in my portfolio are like my portraits and social issues that really are more that a picture but a story. I have seen improvement on taking pictures like which angles would look best how far away or close up.
I have learned so many rules to just talking snap shot to actually taking a good photo. There things that you never really notice until you really see it and start working with improving these photos. I don’t have the best ideas right away I think I try to come up with my own and I try to be as creative as I can. When I cant think of anything is the most time I struggle in this class and it gets harder and harder if your not creative and open minded.
Although Photoshop helps a lot with these pictures, Photography can give you a hard time and you can struggle easily because there is so many steps to things and steps you have to follow and not get left behind. Also if you have ideas right away that helps a lot more. Most people that take this class seem pretty creative and apart from the photo being creative Photoshop cant be all you do, you want your pictures to look realistic.

Personal Words

The words I chose for this project was a poem I wrote to my cousin that passed away.
"You were supposed to stay and help me along the way, now you’re gone and there’s nothing i can do to bring you back. I hope you can hear me from way up there my angel from above, we need you so."
I chose these lyrics to me because when my cosuin died, i couldnt talk as much so i decided to write it. Also because i knew he was watching me from above I didnt have to talk to the celling i could write it down so he could read it. They described alot about how i felt during this time.

Social Issue: " To Lives Lost"

In this photo it is a girl who is sitting down with her leg on top of some bottles of vodka. The bottles are her support and she has lost someone very important to her. There are many pictures of him around theres a gun and shes throwing her life away while he had lost his. Her makeup is running like if she was crying she looks like she had been drinking for a while and she looks very lost and sad. Ive asked her what she felt taking this picture and because it was a real life issue those tears were real. She felt really hurt when i told her to think about holding him in your arms one last time. It especially made her think twice about it about everything shes done.
The issue is how people (teens) grief with drugs and alcohol. When anyone in general loses someone they turn to something to rely on many times its drugs and alcohol. They use it as "support" which is how i formed my photo with her last support being the vodka. This issue means alot to me and i can really relate to it because all around me thats what i see. We lost someone very important to us and alcohol and drugs are what we ran to. Although im going through this all i know how it feels to lose someone and feel you have nothing i have also learned by doing that you lose yourself too. Not only have we been hurting ourself but everyone around us, we could see it in the eyes of our mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. We knew we would have to make a change.

My favortite has to be my alien picture because not only is it so freaky but it catches your eye and it makes you want to look at it. I learned that there is so many different kinds of brushes and they help make your picture look so cool. The difficult parts had to be the cloneing. These effects and skills can really help on horror films pictures.

Formal Critique

There is a man with a hammer on his knees and hands hammering down some pieces of wood in the middle of the ocean. It is black and white he has pieces of wood strapped to his back. He looks like he is trying really hard to work at it. The path of wood blocks leads to him at the end still trying to continue his path. My interpretation is that the guy in the picture is trying to get to the other side of the ocean working his hardest. The dramatic lighting helps and shows how wild and adventurous this man is. This black and white photograph looks so outstanding and even though there is not much in the picture it looks like so much more than just a man making a path through the ocean.

Portraits
Surprise

Prop

Artistic

Face Portrait

1.The most shot i thought came out more successful was the prop shot i had the right lighting out side and the right props to bring that light out and also to show my leading lines.
2.For the artistic shot my partner thought people would get this sad kind of capture so Jessy and I planned on making our pictures look fun dorky and very happy "high on life."
3. i chose to go with as many necklaces as she had and some big movie star glasses to bring out the Hollywood look and to give it a big glamour look.
4.Although mt shot kinda shouts out surprise right away i think i did a good job. My favorite thing about this picture is i tried to capture these leaves falling.
5.The falling leaves took forever!! That was the most stressful part.

Contact Sheet
My favorite compisitional trick had to be light my partner and i had so much fun shooting and trying to to a great job with this light. The tricks i will try to use today will be rule of thirds and better lighting. My least favorite had to be fill in flash it helped alot more but it just wasnt like any of the other compisitional tricks. My favorite photo was still the light photo i love the mood and feeling this picture gives.

Compisitional Trick # 7 Drawing With Light
Compisitional Trick #5 Extreme Angles
.jpg)
.jpg)
Extreme Angles had to be the most interesting and fun pictures to take. From a birds eye view to a worms eye view. Its good to know and see things from way below and way above you, its different. From my eye view i think they are good extreme angles because you don't necessarily look at anyone from these views.
Compisitional Trick #4 Simplicity
.jpg)
From my eyes nothing is just simple in photography. Simplicity in a picture has to be beautiful yet some how plain but not boring, because although simple is not the most interesting thing simple things are much more beautiful. Simplicity can be an effective trick if you can make the simple picture still interesting.
