There is a man with a hammer on his knees and hands hammering down some pieces of wood in the middle of the ocean. It is black and white he has pieces of wood strapped to his back. He looks like he is trying really hard to work at it. The path of wood blocks leads to him at the end still trying to continue his path. My interpretation is that the guy in the picture is trying to get to the other side of the ocean working his hardest. The dramatic lighting helps and shows how wild and adventurous this man is. This black and white photograph looks so outstanding and even though there is not much in the picture it looks like so much more than just a man making a path through the ocean.
